An Epiphany

There’s so much that this tale of epidemic has to offer to mankind!

Life is not to be lived hard and fast.

Life is not to be lived low or to whine about the trivial matters in life.

There shouldn’t be any time to hold grudge or ego.

Not much time to repay goodness,

Nor repay any evil.

No time to engage in character assassination,

Nor any time to judge and criticize people.

No time to go about fighting,

Nor there any time to wait to tell to your loved one how much you treasure them!

There ain’t much time to recall and ponder upon the unpleasant memories from your past,

Rather the ones that make your heart pound with joy!

There ain’t much time to ruminate, keep an account of all those who have wronged you,

Nor any time to plot revenge!

Now that nature has decided to take a break and retaliate,

Now that it has given you time in bounty,

Do you mind taking some out, to contemplate the crux and purpose of your life?

Mind taking a break and changing your ways?

Life would seem as short as a dream you probably had last night!

Lives end at the blink of an eye!

We are nothing but specks of dust in this universe

And forget not that we shall return to dust!

Aren’t you too small to be carrying all these unnecessary burdens?

Why not live for the rest of our lives in harmony?

Why live unjust and unrighteous?

The world would indeed become an even more beautiful place to live in when selfishness and greed and the vices like these, shall stop taking hold on mankind!

The pandemic reminds me so much of the 8 beatitudes that the Lord gave at the sermon of mount and each person ought to meditate upon these:

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

“Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted.”

“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land.”

“Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.”

“Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.”

“Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God.”

“Blessed are the peacemakers, they will be called children of God.”

“Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Well it’s time to cherish the smallest things in life!

It’s time to be grateful for all that you have and all that you are!

It’s time to arise and transform for the good of all!

For it is true,

That a man with no conscience is a man with a dead soul!

And what profits a man if he gains the whole world but loses his own soul???
