The Guitar

I’d play the guitar when you’re away.
I’ll play it when you’re near.
I’d play when I’ll have no one to listen to me.
I’d play when there’s no one near to me.

I’d play when I’ll need someone right beside me.

I’d play it with all my heart and soul into it.
Each time I’ll hold it, I’ll play as if it’s gonna be the last time !
I’d play so as to heal my soul.
I’d play with the plectrum of hope.
I’d play to re-build the self worth that seemed to be lost in the battle of life,
I’ll play to raise myself from the debris of hopelessness and despair.

I’d play it,
Believing that the absurdities of life would vanish for a while,
That it would make some difference in the lives of innumerable people,

And make their lives worthwhile!
